At the age of sixteen, 1968, designed and built a four bit slice floating point computer using discreet components. Registers and memory relegated to hand built flip flops. Switch inputs used flashlight bulbs for output. Diode resistor logic, full adder.
As a high school sophomore placed fifth in the national math exam out of a school of two thousand. Dekalb County, of the Atlanta area, in those days was considered one of the top ten educational systems in the nation in science and math.
Early admission to Georgia Tech in 1969 with a major of physics. Transferred to the school of Architecture in 1972. Was last on campus at Georgia Tech in 1974.
During the eighties was the owner of a successful payroll and computer services company. Provided hardware, installation and support. Developed a restaurant controls and accounting system using DBase I, and II. Moved development to clipper version "summer of 87".
Earned a Certificate of programming from Control Data Institute in 1990. Top grades in all classes. Completed courses ahead of schedule.
Representative for DPMA at Control Data. Was hired as a programmers instructor and a graduate services administrator by that same school, now called Career Development Institute.
