Senior Technical Support Analyst/Technical Researcher

1999 to 2001

·         Successfully designed, implemented, debugged, secured and managed the TCP/IP networking user connectivity for over 60 users connected to the mainframe networks.  Managed individual projects for each airline requiring separate coordination, disaster continuation planning, and security analysis..

·         Coordinated user X.25 and Frame Relay connections to mainframes.

·         Wrote and presented user training for seminars held worldwide in the usage of TCP/IP connectivity.

·         Redesigned the SITA Corporate Network hub in Atlanta.  This was a complete redesign of the LAN for over 900 PC and Unix workstations contained within 3 buildings.  Hundreds of SITA locations worldwide are connected into this network for many types of access including; Internet, Notes, e-mail, access to file and print servers and other uses.

·         Supervised Cisco switch, router and UNIX administrators acquiring knowledge of administration of those devices.

  • Effectively managed as Project Manager the SITAWeb Project.  This project hosted airline home pages.  Designed the LAN infrastructure to support this project as well as administered the server, and coordinated the server and firewall interfaces.
  • Performed Technical Research for other industry solutions to problems encountered within the airline industry.  Specifically, this consisted of investigating wireless connectivity options and wireless interfaces to the mainframes.
